Indore: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, recently unveiled a new advanced 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital. He also inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College which was built at a cost of approximately Rs 6 crore. The state-of-the-art machine, donated by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, will greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Yadav officially opened the CT scan room by cutting the ribbon, offered prayers, and received a detailed briefing on the machine's features. He was informed that the new building, constructed by the Public Works Department, addresses space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India during inspections. Additionally, the state government is set to install an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college, benefiting both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as outpatients.
Yadav expressed that these new medical facilities demonstrate the government's dedication to improving healthcare services, emphasizing that the advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnosis. He also noted that the new building at the dental college will provide students with top-notch facilities. During his visit to Indore, Yadav toured the soon-to-be-operational ISBT located at MR-10. He announced that Indore will soon host the largest inter-state bus terminal in India, resembling an airport and serving as a prominent landmark for the city and the state. This modern facility is expected to significantly enhance the state's infrastructure.The newly constructed 15-acre facility, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, is set to enhance the travel experience for passengers, especially ahead of the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The terminal can handle up to 80,000 passengers daily, with facilities to accommodate 1,440 buses round the clock. It includes 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking area, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant that no layoffs will occur, aiming to strengthen the state's dairy sector and support dairy cooperatives. During the visit, the CM also unveiled a statue honoring martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign,' involving blood tests for around 50,000 people.
